During a special conference on Harnessing the Potential of the Private Sector for Development bringing together high-caliber speakers and attendees from key international organizations, companies, missions, NGOS and academia, the BHF presented its 2012 Russell-Whitehead Business Humanitarian Award to Professor Iqbal Z. Quadir, Entrepreneur, as well as Founder and Director of the Legatum Center for Development and Entrepreneurship at MIT. Press Release

| Join Us For Upcoming BHF Conference and Award Ceremony, March 16 |

The BHF will host a special conference on “Harnessing the Potential of the Private Sector for Development” on Friday, March 16 in Geneva. Senior speakers from the International Chamber of Commerce, Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, World Trade Organization and International Trade Center and from companies such as Nestlé, Merck Serono and Symbiotics Group will be addressing new ways to expand economic opportunity in developing countries. Experts and audience members will be discussing the rationale, mechanisms and impact behind such collaborative initiatives. Following the conference part of the event there will be a brief ceremony to present the 2012 Russell-Whitehead Business Humanitarian Award to Professor Iqbal Z.
